1. What we collect
Account details you give us (name, email, phone number, profile photo, interests, and city). Content you create (groups, posts, comments, messages, events, and RSVPs). Identity documents, if you choose to complete verification. Technical data such as your IP address, device and browser type, and timestamps of your activity.
2. Why we use it
To run your account and show you the groups, events, and conversations you belong to; to recommend groups near you; to send notifications you have asked for; to verify identity where a group requires it; and to keep the platform safe by investigating reports and abuse.
3. What other people see
Your display name, photo, and profile details are visible to other members. Group admins can see your membership, application answers, and your activity within their group. Direct messages are visible to you and the person you are messaging.
4. Identity verification
If you submit an identity document it is used solely to confirm who you are. It is visible only to platform moderators reviewing your submission and is deleted once a decision is recorded.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it with service providers that host our infrastructure, store uploaded media, and deliver email — each acting on our instructions — and with authorities where the law requires it.
6. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your profile and personal details; content you posted in shared spaces may remain in an anonymised form so conversations stay readable for other members.
7. Your rights
You can access and correct your profile from Settings, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to a copy of your data, to object to certain processing, or to complain to a data protection authority.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access tokens are short-lived and sessions can be ended by signing out. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
